You could say it’s two, I would say it’s more than that Two places yes, but the spaces are endless Two exist for my tongue, Two exist for my queerness, Two exist for my family I feel like I exist in Twos, a Duality, nothing more than opposition nothing less If existing is the same as living, or if living is something more If I have to exist in One to live, erase halves until I am left without the Twos, a Singularity But erasure is destruction, a self-harm beyond my scars Remove my tongue Remove my tattoo Remove my heart What is left when there is no Duality Left of me, but left of my spaces, the ones I created If they are removed, remove themselves, become a part of Singularity What becomes of the cold, the rain, the heat, the snow the love, the tears, the breath, the blood, the ashes Choose only half Close my eyes and pick Maybe close only one eye?
